What is nanoneedling?
Nanoneedling goes by various names such as Microchanneling, Nano infusion or Nano exfoliation. It is a non-invasive procedure that involves the use of a pen style modality and nano-tips instead of needles. It uses very tiny cones formed of stainless steel that do not penetrate the skin, but do help with resurfacing and product infusion. This is an alternative treatment for clients who do not want any downtime or who may be contraindicated to microneedling. It can also improve skin texture, boost hydration as well as address signs of premature skin aging. The most immediate, visible change in the skin is a hydrating glow.

What is the difference between micro-needling and nano-needling?
Nano-needling Therapy is very similar to micro-needling and both treatments address many of the same skincare concerns. Both treatments utilize a needling device that punctures the skin, which helps products fully absorb and encourages rejuvenation. The main difference is the depth that the needles penetrate the skin. Micro-needling penetrates the deep dermis whereas Nano-needling only reaches the upper layer of the epidermis. Micro-needling is preferred if your skincare concerns are deep acne scars, deep wrinkles, stretch marks and hypo-pigmentation. Nano-needling is preferred if you’re concerned about fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, swelling or dark areas.

Am i a candidate for nanoneedling?
We recommend scheduling a complimentary consultation with one of our licensed aestheticians who will conduct a full skin analysis and determine if you are a qualifying candidate for this treatment.
Is there down time?
Typically we say no extreme exercise or saunas for 24 hours. There may be a little redness after treatment but most people can apply make- up after 4 hours and look fine.
How often shoud i get this treatment?
We recommend scheduling a series of 3-5 PRO Nanoneedling treatments with 4 weeks in between treatments. And then every three months to maintain results.
What are the contraindications to receiving a nano needling facial?
- Pregnancy
- Psoriasis (active or inactive)
- Rosacea
- Extensive telangiectasia (spider veins)
- Chemotherapy/radiation treatment within the last 6 months
- Photosensitivity medications
- Accutane within last 12 months
- Avoid Botox, or fillers such as Juvederm for the last 2 weeks
- Blood thinners within last 2 weeks
- Retinal /Rentin A within last month
- Active Herpes (if you have a history of cold sores, please take an antiviral 2 days prior to and day of treatment)
- Sunburn
- Avoidance of IPL/Laser procedures for 7 days prior (on area to be treated)
- No waxing, depilatory creams or electrolysis 5-7 days prior (on area to be treated).
- No acids or defoliants that may be drying or irritating to the skin (such as alpha hydroxyl acid [AHA], beta hydroxyl acids [BHA], peels, exfoliating masks, hydroquinone, or benzoyl peroxide acne products).
